Saturday School Blog
Junior & Graduate Class
Dear families,
Hello Kinder Families! Welcome to the Saturday School Blog. We are happy to inform you that we will be releasing a monthly blog at the end of each week. Please look at it together with your children and engage in discussions about it within your house.
Week 1, April 6th
It's always the best time to start our new school year in April with flower blooms around us. Therefore, the theme of this month is about ourselves and spring! For the first week of our Saturday school, we had a revision on different tenses. We talked about our holiday and expectations for the new school year. After that, we made our spring theme garden on paper plates so we could use all our imagination to create our unique garden.
Week 2, April 13th
This week, we started exploring another part of the theme which was about ourselves! Therefore, we read two books about our outer and inner bodies. We learned some vocabulary about our bodies and organs and also finished worksheets focusing on past tenses. For the activities, we made little monsters and skeletons to understand more about our bodies.
Week 3, April 20th
At the end of this month, we continued to the theme about ourselves. Since the golden week is coming, we tried to share our daily life and plans for the coming holiday! After that, we read a book about other kid's lives too so we will be able to share ours too! We made a cute diary and learned how to tell stories so we could share our holiday life with friends afterward. For writing our diary, we learned a lot of verbs in past tense and we could not wait to meet friends in class again!
Highlighted books of the week:
"The First Strawberry" by Harriet Rosenbloom
"The Last Day of School" by Jessica Malordy
