Saturday School Blog

Junior & Graduate Class

Dear families,

Hello Families! Welcome to the Saturday School Blog. We are happy to inform you that we will be releasing a monthly blog at the end of each week. Please look at it together with your children and engage in discussions about it within your house.

Week 11, July 6th

Time flies, the last day of term 1 has just finished! We were happy to have you at our Saturday school and had very good times together. The theme of this month was about different countries. We talked about Europe's countries as first traveling spots on the first day. We learned about the food and art culture in Italy and France by reading books and watching videos. Then, we used colored paper to make the pizza from Italy and the cathedral from France.

Week 12, July 13th

This week, we continued on traveling to another country which on the other side of the Earth, Australia! Since there are a lot of cute and precious animals in Australia, we read a book about the iconic animal of Australia, the Kangaroo! We learned about how kangaroos raise a joey in their pocket and their living place. We also made a paper kangaroo with a fluffy pocket on her as our craft today.

Week 13, July 20th

On the last day of term 1, we had an indoor picnic together with all our friends at Saturday school! We used chocolate and crackers to make the famous camp snack, S'more, before the picnic started. This is the first time we made food in the classroom since last year, so we created our special versions of S'more. The other friends made the mixed juice and fairy bread to share with us too. Then, we played some games and read a book together to end our last lesson.
